The American Dream

This is really my first real shot at an actual, legitimate blog--but I'm hoping this will be a place to talk about things I'm interested in and what's happening in the local community.

Lately, I've been getting my vinyl torrent fix--thanks to uTorrent--even though my router is down. The internet is a wonderful place until it decides to become difficult.

Really though, summer vacation is an awesome time for just getting to know yourself. Most of my time has been spent churning away at Grand Theft Auto IV--and I don't regret any of it. Rockstar has such a knack for making games that are exciting, yet still filled with satiric humor and childish puns (both of which I am a big fan of).

Honestly. Look at that place! Something has to be said about this games ambition! After just finishing The Great Gatsby again, Nico--the main character--has a lot of the same qualities. He's attempting to find the American Dream--whatever the hell that is--and will not let anyone stop him. Deep down, he is an honest man--struggling to find his place in the city.

Bare with me. I realize that this is nerdy as hell.

It's companies like Rockstar that are really solidifying my faith in corporate America. Not all of corporate America of course, but companies like Bungie, Rockstar, and Capcom really understand where this world is headed.

I'll be updating frequently. This first post has been great. Thanks for reading and please comment and return!
